I reinstalled windows xp pro and decided to go ahead and upgrade to iTunes 7. When the page loaded I immediately noticed that the download button was out of place. I didn’t think anything of it as this happens in Opera quite often. I hovered over it for a few seconds and noticed that the URL was something about iTunes 8.0. I clicked and of course a download dialogue box appeared — as one would expect. When the download finished I started the install process and sure enough, the splash screen read iTunes 8.0. I’m still exploring the software. It’s a HUGE upgrade from my previous 6.0 version. I’m not sure about the legality of releasing it to you guys yet. I don’t want any trouble from Apple. Maybe someone with larger balls snatched it while the link was still up also (I can’t find it anymore). My buddy snapped the SS. He’s with me; on the fence about the possible repercussions of releasing this gift from the Apple gods to the public early. Will get back to you soon.
**UPDATE**
Upon further review of the application, this seems to be an 8.0 Release Candidate. Still, someone apparently fucked up as I’m not aware of any open beta testing programs.

Great ! More bloat for my Mac ! I’m waiting for Amarok to hit OS X in order to have a good media experience with my music. iTunes has been the most over rated, bloated POS I’ve ever used in my 15 + years of computer experience. iHateit. And iPhoto.. sheesh, don’t even get me started on that crap fest !
